It is our goal at Veterinary Neurology of the Chesapeake to build close in-house relationships.
When your pet needs to visit us at the neurologist’s office; we usually end up seeing you several times over the course of a few months. If we prescribe medications, we may have several rechecks to make sure that your pet is progressing well. We want to keep him or her from becoming paralyzed.
If your pet has surgery, we usually have several rechecks to keep an eye on your pet’s progress. Rehabilitation may also help your pet improve even quicker.
Unfortunately, many of our patients who suffer from back issues, struggle with it several times over the course of their life, leading to multiple trips to our office.
With seizure patients, we tend to see them several times until we get their seizures under control. Once we find the right medication to keep them mostly seizure-free, we still need to recheck them every few months to monitor their blood work since some of the medications can cause harm to the kidneys and liver.
Since we see our patients many times over a short period, we build close relationships with our clients. Our entire staff wants your pet to get better, and we will do anything we can to help.
We know how scary it can be to come to our office. Seizures can be downright terrifying, and spinal surgery is equally as frightening. For this reason, we are here for you too! We are happy to answer any questions or concerns that you have, from the first visit until your pet is completely back to normal.
We love success stories, and are proud to help our patients start feeling better! We are also here to help you through the process!
