Emily — Certified Veterinary Technician

Emily, a licensed CVT with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology, joined VNIoC in January 2026 after working for five years as an overnight emergency technician at a pet hospital.

“I was lucky enough to start my career in emergency medicine, so I got a look into many different specialties,” she explains. “After some looking around, I found VNIoC. It sounded like a well-rounded environment where I could expand my veterinary knowledge. Although it was–and is!–a huge learning curve, I like learning so I took the leap.”

Emily lives with her mother, father, brother and partner in Lancaster County, PA. She and her partner have two cats and two dogs, the latter who go with them on hikes and the occasional camping trip. Emily also loves reading, drawing and playing video games with her partner.
